Everyone Needs Playtime

In our hectic, modern lives, many of us focus so heavily on work and family commitments that we never seem to have time for pure fun. Somewhere between childhood and adulthood, we stopped playing.

When we carve out some leisure time, we’re more likely to zone out in front of the TV or computer than engage in fun, rejuvenating play like we did as children. But play is not just essential for kids; it can be an important source of relaxation and stimulation for adults as well.

There doesn’t need to be any point to the activity beyond having fun and enjoying yourself. By giving yourself permission to play with the joyful abandon of childhood, you can reap oodles of health benefits throughout life.

A Few of My Critters

These have all found loving homes around the world, some I can't even remember now where they went. I used to keep a record, but the book I had them listed in has been lost. Most probably was left at a teddy bear show some time ago.

The girls above went to the same person in the USA.

He is now at home in Tampa Florida USA. This particular lady was a school teacher.

These two were designed for an American magazine shoot and went to live in Queensland.

Cannot remember who adopted these bears, the panda was quite a big bear while the one in the suitcase was a miniature.

Torvold (above) was a really fun creation, and he's now living in Albany, Western Australia.

New Slate

It has been a year to the day since I posted anything on this blog and a lot of water has passed under the bridge since then. People have come and gone, along with the hobby I once loved, but there comes a time when one needs to wipe the slate clean and begin again.

I'm not sure if I will ever return to making or even collecting teddy bears, but I'm certainly not done with collecting! Over the past few months I have amassed several dolls and for the last couple of days I have been working at re-organising the dolls and I have decided to share them.

I doubt very much if any of my previous followers are still around, or if they are, they are probably not at all interested in my dolly persuits, however, should I be wrong I will be happy to hear from them.

For the next little while, I shall be doing a final bit of tweaking, but mostly I'm looking forward to transferring a few posts over here.
