Everyone Needs Playtime

In our hectic, modern lives, many of us focus so heavily on work and family commitments that we never seem to have time for pure fun. Somewhere between childhood and adulthood, we stopped playing.

When we carve out some leisure time, we’re more likely to zone out in front of the TV or computer than engage in fun, rejuvenating play like we did as children. But play is not just essential for kids; it can be an important source of relaxation and stimulation for adults as well.

There doesn’t need to be any point to the activity beyond having fun and enjoying yourself. By giving yourself permission to play with the joyful abandon of childhood, you can reap oodles of health benefits throughout life.

Asian Fashion Dolls

JAPAN

PetWORKs Ruruko:

CCSgirl 18SS was released May/June 2018 and I received her 31st August, 2020. I gave her the name Hatsuko (first born) as soon she arrived, possibly because I thought I may purchase more of these dolls.

My second Ruruko didn't arrive until 13th October, 2026. She was pre-loved and in perfect condition and I named her Sachiko (in Japanese, the word "sachi" means “happiness” or “good luck” and the word "ko" means “child”) so she is my good luck child.

This is CCSgirl 24AW arrived 26th October, 2026. I haven't chosen a name for her yet.

Sukiguchi Momoko:
I purchased my two Momoko dolls during my holiday in Singapore, June 2023.

Sweet Poodle Momoko: (Code: SGC21700 released 31st January, 2006) Dressed up in what the Japanese like to call "Gothic Lolita". She literally fell apart in my hands and is about to be completely customised.

Good Night Cherry: (Code: SGC21693 released 11th October, 2005). She was put up for adoption in October, 2026.

Takara Tomy Licca-Chan:
These two were purchased together and arrived October, 2026. They com with the Neo Licca Body which is equipped with articulated joints at the shoulders, hips, knees, wrists, and ankles, allowing natural poses like turning toes inward, shrugging, or sitting with bent knees. They also have extra hands.

The blue is Photogenic Licca Orlaya. So lovely with her long brown side parted hair and pale blue earrings and wearing satin lingerie.

The lilac is Photogenic Licca Cattleya. This I know for sure, her name will most definitely be changed! She features a center-parted bob hairstyle and wears a soft, pale-purple (lavender) loungewear set with matching earrings.

LD-07 Wan Nyan Pet Sitter Licca-chan was released 30th June, 2024. I ordered her 27th October, 2026, then cancelled her afew days later because Amazon couldn't provide a delivery date.

Then I saw the LD-17 Airy Trench Coat set and loved the clothes she was wearing so I added her instead.

On 31st Ocober, 2026 I ordered Photogenic Gothic Noir. She is gorgeous and I love her outfit.

CHINA

Kurhn:
Founded in 2004, Kurhn is China's first original doll brand, a toy company that integrates research and development, promotion and sales. Their main products are plastic dolls, doll clothes, doll accessories, etc.

Sweet Lolita from the Fashion Week Series (Model:3083-1), was ordered simply out of curiosity and she arrived sometime in October, 2020.

Unbranded Chinese Dolls:
The following three dolls were purchased from TEMU at the same time for less than AU$40 with free shipping after promo discounts.

One - these dolls aren't given names. They all look the same apart from hair and are dressed differently.

Two - I will have to name them myself but will wait until they arrive.

Three - couldn't get a decent pic of this gal, will take my own photos later.

Oh you got the photogenic Liccas!!! That body poses better than the standard one and I'm almost sure it even comes with extra hands. Basically, you got the fancy Takara Tomy dolls.
Kuhrn is very pretty, it feels to me like a mix of barbie and jenny dolls, but it has something different too.
Your new ruruko doll is lovely, I love how different all 3 rurukos are from each other. You chose well.

Yes it does come with the extra hands. I like the Kurhn doll I have, but a lot of the others are a little to tizzy for me. You never know though, there may be another that calls to me down the track.
I love, love, love Ruruko dolls the best of the AFD's. 😘
