Everyone Needs Playtime

In our hectic, modern lives, many of us focus so heavily on work and family commitments that we never seem to have time for pure fun. Somewhere between childhood and adulthood, we stopped playing.

When we carve out some leisure time, we’re more likely to zone out in front of the TV or computer than engage in fun, rejuvenating play like we did as children. But play is not just essential for kids; it can be an important source of relaxation and stimulation for adults as well.

There doesn’t need to be any point to the activity beyond having fun and enjoying yourself. By giving yourself permission to play with the joyful abandon of childhood, you can reap oodles of health benefits throughout life.

Off With the Pixxies

Not quite what you expected . . .

. . . but she's a pixxie alright.

Once again I got caught by the charms of a new Iplehouse BJD, her name is Twinky and she's on lay-by while being made. So I suppose I am half way to tightening the dolly purse strings, now if I could sell a few Etsy items I would feel much better about buying ANOTHER DOLL as hubby would say.

Personally I think, "what the heck", you can't take the money with you when you die, so I may as well get some enjoyment from it while I can! :)

  1. Hello Sandi,
She is beautiful. My belief is I work hard every day, so I need to have little things to make it all worth it!
    Big hug,

    1. Good morning Giac,
Very similar beliefs I think, life is definitely too short for all work and no play.
      Have a lovely day.
