Everyone Needs Playtime

In our hectic, modern lives, many of us focus so heavily on work and family commitments that we never seem to have time for pure fun. Somewhere between childhood and adulthood, we stopped playing.

When we carve out some leisure time, we’re more likely to zone out in front of the TV or computer than engage in fun, rejuvenating play like we did as children. But play is not just essential for kids; it can be an important source of relaxation and stimulation for adults as well.

There doesn’t need to be any point to the activity beyond having fun and enjoying yourself. By giving yourself permission to play with the joyful abandon of childhood, you can reap oodles of health benefits throughout life.

New Dress / Pinafore



Added these to my Boutique today. The dress/pinafore comes on it's own, but looks really cute over a blouse and as a shorter, above knee style on my IpleHouse KID.

On reflection, I'm not at all sure about the plum flounce on the second one and was wondering if it was just a little too full. Also thought I may try varying the design slightly, by making it shorter and adding a small frill above, rather than on, the hemline.

As always, I'm interested in hearing my readers opinions, so feel free to let me know what you think.

    Both dresses are very beautiful, although in my opinion, the second one looks better as a shorter. In the little girl, it looks like if it's a bit big for her. Anyway, you have done a good job with it ;)

    Hello Sandy,
    Absolutely gorgeous. they are lovely. I don't think the flounce is too full, rather the fabric seems a little stiff and it is not hanging as it should...but honestly it is a minor detail because it looks terrific.

      You could be right there Giac, although pre-washed, the fabric used on this frill is not quite as soft as my usual fabrics, possibly because of the polyester content. Thanks for your thoughtful contribution.
