Everyone Needs Playtime

In our hectic, modern lives, many of us focus so heavily on work and family commitments that we never seem to have time for pure fun. Somewhere between childhood and adulthood, we stopped playing.

When we carve out some leisure time, we’re more likely to zone out in front of the TV or computer than engage in fun, rejuvenating play like we did as children. But play is not just essential for kids; it can be an important source of relaxation and stimulation for adults as well.

There doesn’t need to be any point to the activity beyond having fun and enjoying yourself. By giving yourself permission to play with the joyful abandon of childhood, you can reap oodles of health benefits throughout life.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I have sold several play dolls recently, which has been a big relief, for a while there I didn't think anyone was going to give them a home. There are still a few Spanish dolls waiting to find homes and I'm thinking of selling my Helen Kish dolls too, along with the few odd dolls that I have just one of.

The project dolls are coming along slowly, unfortunately I haven't been taking any photos of my progress, which I had fully intended to do when I began. It's just been too difficult to get organised these past few months, what with all the interuptions leading up to Christmas. I'm hoping the new year will bring about some changes for the better.

Anyway, until my next visit to the blogasphere, stay safe and be happy.

Happy New Year!

Let's hope it's better than the old one . . . I wish you all Good Health and Much Happiness.

A brief update: I purchased 24 new dolls in 2021 (a mixture of fashion, play & vintage Robert Tonner dolls) and sold off 20 (which were mostly all Disney dolls). I have no plans for future dolly purchases in 2022, but I have learnt over the years to never to say never!
