A Touch of Fantasy

I've had Mae, my Key To My Heart "A Fairytale Wedding" by Linda Rick (The Doll Maker) since April. Initially I thought she was going to be a companion for my other Linda Rick doll which is fourteen inches tall, but was surprised by her shorter height when she arrived. Once I saw she was only twelve inches, I wasn't sure what to do with her, but I did remove her wedding dress. However, when I saw her naked I realised she had far too much hair, so the wig came off too.

During the days that followed (back in lockdown) I tried several wigs on Mae, finally settling on the J-Pop one she is wearing now. It's a very pretty combination of pale blue and lavender soft Japanese Kanekalon® fibre. Then, as she needed clothes to wear, I began knitting again. Using the same Jacknitss and PWT patterns as I had previously, making a few more mods and 4ply yarn with smaller needles (2.25mm), I managed to produce this dress and matching coat.

When she was dressed, Mae took a walk in the Elvin Forest and came across my little Pegasus (Luts Tiny Delf Centaur Jack Bubble Mint/White Ltd. Ed. default face-up).

Mae: Hello little one what are you doing here?

Pegasus: I'm looking for my friend Princess Hera.

Mae: I'm sorry I haven't seen a Princess today, but I am happy to be your friend.

Pegasus: Oh, I'd like that too. Let's shake on it.

Mae: It's a little warm here in the forest, so I'll take my coat off.

Pegasus: Okay, then we can get to know each other.

I also found some little white boots in my stash that fitted her perfectly. It seems boots are all the range, even in the Elvin Forest. 😊

Tian Arrived Today

Her eyes were too dark and too large so they have been changed, but the face-up is a default Luts and so is the wig.

She came with wings, which I am having great difficulty attaching, because the stupid magnets are not marked which side is which and every time I try to sort them out they are so strong they just keep snapping together! I doubt if I will even bother with them now.

She looks so cute as a little girl, she may not even become my romance fairy after all. :(

Still I shan't say never, because everything can change from day to day around here.

More Progress

Well my crochet throw rug is finally finished, so that's one more thing I can cross off my to do list. It's taking a while to whittle this list down, but at least it's on the move at long last. I'm feeling quite relieved.

Tian Sparkleheart (Luts Tiny Delf Lavender) was ordered on Monday, but probably won't be arriving until June or July. I ordered everything but the costume, which is cute, but I want to dress her myself.

 The wings aren't as delicate as the BambiCroni wings, but they are still pretty once they have been blushed.

Just in case you haven't ventured over to my other blogs, I have added some new YOSD outfits to Polkadots & Rainbows which you may like to see. I have also purchased some more fabrics.

Been working on a few other things, but I will tell you about them later. However, I shall be a little slower at posting over the next few weeks as I really want to finish off a whole pile of UFO's . . . and there are a heap of them, believe me!

Look Who Flew In

Well you all know how I feel about fairies and other magical creatures, and this little one from Luts has stolen my heart completely. She's not for sale yet and I'm not sure when she will be released, but she's definitely on my wish list.

Her sculpt is called Pino and she's a Tiny Delf Fairy of Flower Lavender Version. Luts have said she's limited, but I am unsure if it's only the full set that's limited. Personally I can do without the costume, but that face is so realistic and unlike any that Luts has done before in this size.

Although she will be a similar size to my PukiFee fairies (Pi, Wi and Li), she has a different personality and style . . . where they are impish and mischievous, she appears to me as more caring and sympathetic. She is human in appearance, without elf ears and has less delicate wings, she is also gifted with magical powers, so perhaps she will become an enchantress of sorts. Yes, that's it! Pino will become my very special romance fairy . . . Tian Sparkleheart.

Hopefully I will be able to order her with just the face-up, blushed wings and wig. I only have one more payment on Ah-ra, and my Verity (DollZone head) was paid in full, so this release should fit in with this year's dolly budget okay.
