Sidetracked by a Circus

Although I've still been working on the Tailor's shop in between all our Christmas preparations, I found myself a little stumped (forgive the pun) when it came to the interior walls of the tree, so I had finally reached a standstill. But as luck would have it, I did, after some searching, find just the right lining, but had to place an order and wait for the parcel to arrive after the holidays.

Not being one to simply sit and wait around twiddling my thumbs, thoughts crept into my head . . . one in particular stuck there. At first it was simply an idea, then I found a picture on the internet suitable for me to put the idea into practise. I downloaded it, cut it into three sections using photo editing and printed it out on A4 paper. Using a glue stick, I mounted each sheet on foam board and made matching paper hinges (using photo editing once again) to put it all together.

Of course a Circus isn't complete without a clown or trapeze artist, so I made new costumes for my PukiFees, Tika (tan) and Rin (white), which also created a gender change. 😏 Though I still need to finish Rin's hat and Tika still has his/her wolf fangs, but they are not really out of place in a Circus are they? After all they used to have bearded ladies and others with human oddities.

Speaking of oddities . . . these  body parts arrived yesterday, I intend on painting them and using the tiny mannequin in the Tailor's shop and the larger one in my Fleur and Mason boutique when I finally get round to putting it all together.

Looking at these photos now, I see I probably need new ink for my printer. So what's new about that? I always need something. Well that's about it for today, so once again . . .  HAPPY CHRISTMAS!

Tiny Accessories

Hubby and I went to our favourite shopping center yesterday and of course I dropped into Toys'R'Us and found the tiny Sylvanian Families sets on special. This one has lots of stuff, all of which is the perfect size for my Real Pukis.

Of course Misty has already claimed all the girly stuff ~ princess crown, headbands, bags, basket and jewellery, but not before Pocket found the red specs and bowtie!

He couldn't even wait to get dressed before trying them on. :)

Yummy Stuff!

Found these little Fast Food Erasers the other day when hubby and I were out and about. Sometimes he has the patience of a saint, which comes in handy at times, especially when I stop to look in all the shops where I am likely to find things at a bargain price for my BJD's!

I bought two packs of these tiny erasers, one with the hot food and the other with the cakes and icecream. They are a pretty good size for my PukiFees as you can see with Cadbury. The pink cookie maybe a little big, but I can use it with my LittleFees instead.

Thanks mum, this is yum!

I also found a great round box which will do nicely to make a biscuit barrel home for the new arrivals due later this year. This will be a project I'll photograph and share with you later, when I have finished all my other UFO's.

Hershey's New Puppy

 Hershey has been nagging me for a puppy ever since our neighbours got one. Last week I finally gave in to her pleading and bought a little one just for her. She is so excited and pleased with him, he follows her everywhere and she plays with him all the time.

She tells me he is so lovely and soft to cuddle and he is so obedient that he does everything she tells him to do. It's a pity Hershey doesn't do the same for me. I have told her not to allow him on the bed, but every evening when I stop by her room to say goodnight, the two of them are snuggled up together, fast asleep in her bed..

For the last few days, Hershey has been browsing through my Baby Names book looking for just the right name for him, but she has been unable to find one that is suitable.

This morning, she asked me, "Do you think your readers might help me to come up with a name for him Mummy?". What do you think readers, could you, would you suggest a name for Hershey's new puppy? I'm sure Hershey and her puppy would both be very pleased and grateful if you do.

Tea with Teddy

Lia decided to relax and have tea with teddy after the meet yesterday and is using the lovely new tea set given to us by our friend Oni.

I'm using one of the new backdrops I recently purchased from Rai Hing.
